Not sure which is harder, coming up with interests or putting them into a coherent sentance – I am a Janner after all. I guess listing them would be a good start.
- mobile technology
h - disability
- sound
- video
- using objects/technology in ways they weren’t intended
Oh yes

And if that wasn’t enough, Tom won 15-0. Now if only Argyle had done that….
Processing
Posted: 16 September 2005 Filed under: Ramblings | Tags: processing, workshop Leave a commentI’ve just done a 2 day course on Processing at the Watershed in Bristol as part of the Connectors which is a week long event organised by the Sonic Arts Network. Processing is an open source programming language that lets you to create and manipulate images, sound and video. It was quite easy to pick up and the install came with a load of examples but I needed someone who I could ask dumb questions. It’s quite powerful and can even control external devices but it’s not quite up to Director yet.

Evenb though we bossed Crewe and made waht what is generally regarded as a “passing team” resort t olong to long balls, we still only managed to draw. Let’s hope we do Burnely Burnley.
IE6 table hack
Posted: 3 September 2005 Filed under: Useful stuff | Tags: css Leave a commentSo I’m using a table to display data from a database. In Firefox it’s the right width but in IE6 it goes off to the right. Another IE6 bug coz it can’t handle tables with a width of 100% in a layer without a set width. Apparently what it does is use the width of the window – nice, I guess Microsoft must be a bit short on cash to be able to invest in building a browser that’s standards compliant!! Anyways, I got round it by slapping the table into it’s own layer with a width set to 100% and that did the trick.
Browser emulator

Or maybe in Netscape 4.8 under Linux? Check out Browsercam coz it’s got them and all of the others…..well, most of the others but let’s not get picky
